Maruf Kamal joined Better Work Bangladesh in May 2019. He has more than eight years of experience in the field of Readymade Garment (RMG) sector development, female leadership and social dialogue, capacity building of trade union/federations, financial inclusion of persons with disabilities, reducing gender-based violence and discrimination at workplace, skills building, workplace ergonomics and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Maruf completed his Master of Education (M.Ed) from Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka and Master in Development Studies (MDS) from East West University. He has certification on Ergonomic Assessment and Modification by RECOUP, India. Maruf previously worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, CARE Bangladesh, Intervida and ActionAid.
