Froukje Boele is the Programme Manager Better Factories Cambodia since November 2024. She leads the implementation and technical oversight of BFC activities, in close collaboration with the tripartite partners. She brings extensive experience from her previous role as Head of Public Policy and Regional Programmes at the Centre for Responsible Business Conduct of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. In this capacity she worked with governments, business and civil society to implement the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and related due diligence guidance instruments across Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining OECD in 2013, she spent eight years with the International Labour Organisation as a legal officer monitoring the application of the international forced and child labour Conventions and previously a research officer on the fundamental principles and rights at work. Froukje holds a Master’s Degree in International Law from the Graduate Institute, Geneva.
