Zariath Tamanna has over fifteen years of diverse experience in the ready-made garment (RMG) sector, with a strong focus on labour law, compliance and sustainability, advocacy, and strategic planning and management. She joined the ILO Better Work Bangladesh programme in 2016 as a National Programme Officer (Enterprise Adviser) and has served as Team Leader since 2020. Before joining the ILO, she held various roles within RMG enterprises as well as international clothing brands and buyers. 

Her core areas of expertise include consultation, facilitation, and advocacy, particularly the planning and facilitation of high-level consultations with tripartite constituents, buyers, unions, and donors. She brings strong experience in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building design for national institutions. 

Zariath holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law from Premier University, Chattogram, along with diplomas in Social Compliance, Human Resource Management, and Labour Law.
