Nushrat Jahan Imi joined Better Work Bangladesh (BWB) in January 2021. Prior to her current role at Better Work, Imi worked for almost six years at an international non-profit organisation specialised in safety issues in the ready-made garments (RMG) industry in Bangladesh. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in compliance management, project management and implementation, capacity building of partner organizations and coordination and communications between the stakeholders of the RMG industry. Imi graduated in Civil Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and also holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Independent University. She also attended training courses on social compliance and occupational health and safety issues.
